Keepin’ it Local at Barsha!

Here at Barsha we love, I mean love our Locals! Our local selection ranges anywhere from beer crafted in Torrance to artisan chocolates made only a couple of miles away. We love that we can support local artisans, wine/beer makers, & artists that love what they do! Most of the beers that we currently carry are crafted right here in Cali. One of our current favorites is Strand Brewing Co. “Harvest Ball”  Orange Witbier made right next door in Torrance, Cali. This American pale wheat ale is a clean, light beer w/ hints of orange zest, green pepper & celery. It’s quite complex for an ale! Rich Marcello & Joel Elliot are the amazing owners, and strive to produce outstanding beers for all of South Bay! strand-harvest-ball strand-brewing-co-harvest-ballOne of my favorite local food products are Emily’s Chocolate’s. Emily is this cool chic that lives in Redondo Beach and so happens to make amazing chocolate bark. She infuses the bark with chili flakes, lime zest, fresh raspberry, and so many other unique ingredients. It is  artisans like this that get us excited about our products here at Barsha! The best part of carrying local is that we get to know the artist behind the product. Therefore we connect much more with the product, thus helping our customers to relate to it on a deeper level.   emily   Oh and by the way Barsha has a “Wine Bottle Tree” created by a wonderful local artist name Brooke Coe (owner of Huh Designs Co.)and made entirely from recycled wine bottles! She is now in the process of creating wine bottle chandeliers to showcase at Barsha! Oh, the handiwork of a local artist. 20131130_235609 At the end of the day, we rely on the local community for our main support. We love keeping it local and are proud to be part of such a close knit community! That’s why on Tuesday, January 25th, we are having our first ever Local’s Night! This is going to be a celebration of our amazing community! So be sure to stop by. We can’t wait to see you!localsnightflyeryellowupdate
