“Sunday Funday” 2014 White blend, Cali

From the greatest winery, Rebel Coast WInery

90% Steel Barrel Chardonnay

8% Sauvignon Blanc

2% Viognier

Not all Chardonnay wines are oaky, vanilla, or heavy. The three grapes in this wine were harvested in 2013 and were all grown in the Carneros region of Sonoma, California. They were all fermented separately with native yeasts. The driving backbone is stainless steel fermented Chardonnay.  On top of that Chard base, we blended in 8% Sauvignon Blanc for the citrus, and 2% Viognier to make that nose pop.

Acumen Mountainside Red blend, Napa, CA 2013

A very unique, precision blend, predominantly of Cabernet Sauvignon at 80%, complemented with 15% Syrah and 5% Tempranillo and spending 18 months in high quality French oak barrels. The end result is simply gorgeous…

Acumen is destined to be a high-demand wine in the near future. In only their second vintage, this wine has already developed a following for their seamlessly balanced, layered wines that showcase Mountainside fruit from some of Napa Valley’s most prestigious sources.

Aromas- violets, cocoa powder, espresso, cassis.

Palate- Black cherry, forest, cedar, blackberry leaves. Round mouth with a nice acidity and silky tannins.

Agharta (Black Label) Syrah 2005, Sonoma, Ca

Named after the famous album by  “Agharta” by Miles Davis.
Nose of blackberry, earth, plums, flowers, game, deli, herbs, and a little vanilla. Surprisingly bright acidity. Blackberry, plum, flowers, meat, and herbs on the palate. Great mouth-feel, strong finish. Noticeable tannins, balanced and with great poise. Decant 30-60 minutes before serving.

Alondra Chardonnay, Sonoma, CA 2014

2014 Alondra chardonnay is sourced from Peter Boeck’s chardonnay vineyard just outside the Sonoma Coast appellation in Sonoma County. This vineyard is planted to clone 4 on several terraced slopes with multiple expressions within the block. Our goal here is to continue the exploration of un-oaked chardonnay, exhibiting varietal character without the sweet oak component. Think old world, with wet stone, flinty, lemony acidity, age-worthiness and linear chardonnay character over heavy richness. We are re-thinking the chardonnay paradigm, aiming for effortless ethereal character rather than heavy extraction.

Bright lemon. Aromas of wet stone, lemon, and citrus, with green apple and spiced pear. The 2004 is a fresh and invigorating style of chardonnay, with the stone and lemony acidity characters opening into subtle notes of apple and pear blossom with aeration. A refreshing, clean style with youthful exuberance and mouth-watering acidity.

Anthill Farm Pinot Noir Comptche Ridge, Mendocino, CA 2014

he 2014 Pinot Noir Comptche Ridge Vineyard is the most expressive of these wines, as it so often is. Freshly cut rose petals, mint, white pepper and sweet red berries are all woven together in a delicate, exquisite wine graced with superb finesse. The 2014 literally floats on the palate, with lovely aromatic presence and fabulous balance. The clonal mix is two-thirds Swan and one-third Pommard. The Comptche Ridge is a signature wine for Anthill Farms.

Arnot Roberts 2015 Syrah, Healdsburg, CA

  • V94
Vinous / Antonio Galloni“The 2015 Syrah (Sonoma Coast) is another of the many highlights in this range from Arnot-Roberts. Inky and intense, and yet light on its feet, the 2015 has it all. Violet, lavender and black pepper add aromatic nuance. The 2015 was done with 100% whole clusters, but the stems aren’t especially noticeable. This is a fabulous wine from Duncan Arnot and Nathan Roberts. Even better, it is a stunning value. Don’t miss it!”

ArPePe “Sassella – Stella Retica” Valtellina Superiore Riserva, Lombardy, Italy 2010

Crushed rose petals, mint, sweet tobacco, game, red cherry and cranberry lift from the glass. Bright and salivating, with lively acidity laced throughout, the 2010 is an absolutely joyous wine to drink now and over the next decade. The 2010 is 100% Chiavennasca (Nebbiolo) that was given a relatively short ten days of maceration in oak vats followed by two years in cask and cement. Translucent and deeply expressive, with a long, sinewy finish, the 2010 is striking from the very first taste.

Atalon “Pauline’s Cuvee” Bordeaux red blend, Napa, CA 2012

90 points Robert Parker’s Wine Advocate

90 points Vinous

A realistically priced wine from Napa, the 2012 Pauline’s Cuvee is an outstanding blend of 75% Merlot, 20% Cabernet Franc and the rest Cabernet Sauvignon and Malbec (7,500 cases) is a beauty from four vineyards in Napa Valley, showing the vintage’s telltale purity, dense purple color, lushness and seductive mocha, espresso and chocolaty notes intermixed with black cherry and blackcurrant fruit. This is a medium to full-bodied, lush, heady wine to drink over the next 5-10 years. (RP) (10/2015)

Billecart-Salmon Brut Sous Bois, France

Fermented in wood, this mature and rich Champagne is sophisticated and stylish. It has a rich, full-bodied character with hints of spice as well as dry, citrus fruits. It has a steely core, showing a taut texture as well as some maturity. Ready to drink, it will also age in bottle.
