Hi Barsha wine lovers! We hope you all are enjoying your summer so far! Whether you’re in the South bay or off with the family somewhere amazing, we got you covered with our Mediterranean picks! The whites are crisp and refreshing, like taking a deep breath on the coastal cliffs of Southern Europe. The reds are beautifully structured with bright personality, reflective of the regions they are produced.
Macchialupa Greco di Tufo 2014
Greco di Tufo, Italy
100% Greco Grape
La Cantina Macchialupa is located where there is a day of solemn silence & mystery. The winery was founded in 2001 by the love of a winemaker for Fiano & Aglianico di Taurasi and the passion of an agronomist winemaker for the Greco di Tufo.
This beautiful white is very fruity on the nose, w/hints of pineapple, almonds, brown butter, pear & honey. The palate is dry, soft with freshness and long persistence.
Gran Rocosind Crianza 2009 Catalonia, Spain
Blend of Garnacha, Ull de llebre (Tempranillo), Cabernet Sauvingon and Merlot. Alluring aromas of spicy cherry, plum, leather & tobacco. The palate is lush, silky with cherry flavors and notes of smoke and vanilla bean. Tangy acidity & firm tannins. A nice ode to summer!
Intense aromas of yellow and white flowers that take on mineral notes, turning to citrus fruits, white peach, pear and green apple. Delicious now but can be cellared for 2 – 3 years
Gueissard Bandol Rouge Cuvee “G” 2010
70% Mourvedre, 17% Grenache, 13% Cinsault
Vineyards Gueissard composes the most exceptional wines that truly express the strength of the soils of Provence. A very beautiful crimson colour. Very fine aromas dominated by red fruits, ample and fine effect in the mouth with long-lasting taste. Aging capacity is 20 years or more.
